How I script my videos!

The Blank Page Problem

I’ve gotten to a point where I can write my script, film, edit, and post within 1 hour, which is how I’m able to post videos daily without feeling burnt out.

I’ve been able to create a formula that makes making videos feel like second nature. Content has become easy for me.

It all starts with a good script, but most importantly, being able to come up with a good script FAST.

The easiest way to do this: ask yourself “How do I feel in this very moment?”

As I am writing this, I feel inspired.

I just watched a video by Yes Theory where they bring a family back to their home to in Syria for the first time since they were forced to flee 14 years ago. It brought a tear to my eye, and all 37 minutes are totally worth watching.

Anyways, Monday’s video was about my reaction to this video, and here’s the script to that video:

“To anyone who feels like they aren’t doing enough… listen up

Certain creators have a global impact, my favorite one being Yes Theory.

In their last video, they told the story of a family who left Syria during the conflict 14 years ago, and who finally were able to make it back. They explored Damascus, and Yes Theory painted the picture of a family who was torn away from their country by conflict, and showed the beauty of reuniting with friends and most importantly, home. 

As a creator, these are the stories I wanna tell one day. Stories that have global impact, and that shed a light on moments that would go unseen by many otherwise. 

These are the stories that NEED to be told, and I’m scared that I’m not doing my part. 

Instead, I’ve branded myself as this kid whose only real message is f*cking what? Telling people to quit their 9-5 and escape the f*cking matrix? 

I want to be so much more than that. There are stories that are so much bigger than me, and I haven’t been doing my part.

But there’s one thing to remember; as a creator, I’m just starting. Yes, I’ve gained almost 1500 followers in 3 months. Yes, I get DMs from people who are inspired by my videos.

But I wanna do so much more. And to get there, I just need to keep CREATING.

I’m excited to tell stories that have an impact. Because storytelling, to me, is about so much more than making money. 

I need to start small, so I’m committed to being a part of that positive change in my home city, Montreal.

As you can see: all I did was ask myself “how do I feel in this very moment?” and all the answers came.
